Course Information

The riding training programme may be taken with the stable management or separately, if booked together you can receive the discounted price of £320 for both courses. Learners need to have already gained a basic, balanced and secure riding position as required in Stage 1 and should be capable of jumping small fences as a course upto 75cm Riding 6pm to 7pm and untacking from 7pm - 7.30pm.

Course Content
  • Our British Horse Society Stage 2 training programme is an excellent progression from the Stage 1 course. This course is intended as a brush up of skills prior to taking the BHS assessment.

    The riding course involves: Working to improve balance and security, Ride school figures using the correct aids, Ride safely in company, Ride independently in walk, trot and canter, with and without stirrups, Jumping position , Jumping a course of fences.

Entry Requirements
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills.
    BHS Stage 1 riding assessment must be completed before booking on to this course.
    Weight limit for riding is 13.5 stones.
