This course follows on from the Level 1 Welding, Fabrication & Blacksmithing course, and will further develop your skills. You will study for a City & Guilds Performing Engineering Operations (PEO) Level 2 qualification and a City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Engineering. A final craft item is produced and shown at the Kingston Maurward Show in June.
There will be an opportunity to undertake the NPTC forge Certification. Students will be expected to produce the required test piece in their own time but assessment will take place at the College.**Subject to sufficient student numbers

A £100 contribution towards the cost of course materials is payable at the start of the course.Those entered for the City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Forgework will need to pay the assessment fee and an extra charge for materials is payable. Although PPE is available, we firmly advise students to provide their own welding mask and goggles and any items of a personal nature for their own hygiene protection.
