Course Information

Business Administration Apprentices provide administrative support within an office environment such as solicitor’s offices, financial management companies, design companies, the NHS, and the Police Service.

Daily tasks can include: Customer interaction by phone, email and face to face , Liaising with other members of staff/departments, Organising meetings, Processing incoming and outgoing mail , Photocopying/filing , Data Entry.

    Functional Skills in English, maths and ICT depending upon GCSE achievement.

    If you do not already hold Level 1 Functional Skills in maths and English (GCSE grade 2 or E), you will need to achieve this level and work towards Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English prior to completing your apprenticeship.

    Delivery of this course is in the workplace, with weekly workshops held at the college.
Entry Requirements
  • GCSE grade 2 or E in maths and English or level 1 functional skills in maths and English.

    Entry is subject to a successful interview and you will undertake an initial assessment in maths and English regardless of previous qualifications.

    You must be working under a suitable and relevant contract of employment for a minimum of 30 hours a week. If you do not have an employer, we may be able to help you find one.

Course Fees

There are no course fees for eligible students. Students will also earn a full-time wage while they are working for their apprenticeship employer.
You will need access to a PC/laptop to develop your e-portfolio.
