Course Information

Are you a sports enthusiast who is looking to develop a career in the sport and fitness industries? This course allows students to gain a wide range of knowledge and experience in exercise, fitness coaching and sports leadership. A combination of theory and practical units will give you an understanding of the different industries available to you. The course includes a variety of sport training including; professional golf instructing, football coaching, tennis, squash and a wide range of Outdoor Adventure activities.

    Plus:Daily professional football coaching and developmental fitness training, Entry in the British colleges' football leagues as well as a wide range of fitness opportunities, Functional Skills/English and maths, First aid qualification.Option to include (at additional cost):Gym and fitness instructing qualification. All students will have the opportunity to join the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme (DofE) and can participate in Football and Rugby at various levels with the chance of joining the British Colleges Leagues college team.
Entry Requirements
  • 4 GCSEs at minimum grades 3/D, including English and maths. A keen interest in sport and fitness is essential.

Course Fees

There are no course fees for eligible students aged 16-18. Students aged 19-25 may also be eligible for government funding or a student loan depending on their circumstances.
£150 for KMC sports kit.

Materials Required

Basic stationery - pens, pencils, A4 lever arch files, ruler and eraser. Practical clothing suitable for the weather condition. Polo shirts and sweatshirts are available to purchase at the college. Indoor and outdoor sport equipment may be required for practical sessions.
