Course Information

With the diverse range of businesses that exist in rural areas, from farm management to eco-tourism, there is the need to develop sound business management skills. This innovative programme is designed for the next generation of rural business managers, entrepreneurs and those wanting to enhance their understanding of how businesses thrive in the current climate.

Along side A' level equivalent qualifications in business, students will be able to undertake additional qualifications specialising in Tourism or Land Management

  • A BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Business Studies including:
    Exploring Business
    Developing a Marketing Campaign
    Personal and Business Finance
    Managing an Event
    International Business
    Principles of Management
    Investigating Rural Retail Business
    Digital Marketing
    Pitching for a New Rural Business

    Students will also be able to specialise in Tourism (BTEC Level 3 Certificate), Enterprise and Entrepreneurship or Heritage Management.
Entry Requirements
  • 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths OR a relevant Level 2 Certificate at Distinction level OR an Apprenticeship in business/management. Mature students lacking formal qualifications will also be considered.

Course Fees

There are no course fees for eligible students aged 16-18. Students aged 19-25 may also be eligible for government funding or a student loan depending on their circumstances.
