Learn the basic skills, knowledge and understanding of working in agriculture and the countryside and prepare for employment or progression to a more advanced course, or an apprenticeship. Kingston Maurward College offers the ideal environment for students to develop agriculture and countryside skills at their own pace under expert guidance.
This one year programme offers a broad range of subjects and practical skills. Assessment takes place throughout the year and support with developing numeracy, literacy, study skills, IT and vocational skills is available.

Basic Stationery; Calculator, Pens, paper and lever arch files. Suitable Outdoor Clothing - The clothing must be suitable for environment, weather and time of year, Protective Overalls, Steel Toe Capped Work Boots, Steel Toe Capped Wellington Boots, Hi-vis yellow vest. Uniform (polo shirt and sweat shirt). Tetanus protection is recommended. All protective equipment will be inspected by the Course Manager.
