Kingston Maurward is pleased to be working with Pearson BTEC to offer a Higher National Diploma in Agriculture .The course is highly industry focused with great opportunity to develop practical as well as academic skills. The programme is aimed at college leavers entering Agriculture looking to develop specialist farm management skills for industry. The course is also highly suited to those already in the industry looking to upskill at degree level to support their role in the industry. The course has eight units in the first year and can be studied an flexible way either, full time part time or by module credits.

    Year 2 includes the following modules, with additional optional modules available:

Entry Requirements
  • Entrants will need Level 3 qualifications. This could include
    Level 3 Extended Diploma in Agriculture (1080) - City and Guilds or BTEC - grade PPP or above, or MP for the 720 credit Extended Diploma.
    A Levels to a combination of 48 UCAS points - suitable subjects Biology, Maths, Geography

    Applicants should have GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4 or above.

    Mature students may want to discuss qualifications and experience before applying, but are not exempt from the course if they do not have specific entry qualifications.

    international students can apply but should have achieved IELTS at 5.5 or above.

Materials Required

Learners will have practical sessions and should ensure they have correct PPE. This includes suitable clothing, steel toe boots, water proofs. Learners will also find it useful to have their own devices (laptops, tablets) to bring to college for classwork and to access learning materials.
