CS203 (formerly CS31), this wholly practical based 3-day course deals with the Felling of Small Trees (380mm (15"") in diameter or less at their base) and their subsequent breakdown. Subjects include Health & Safety regulations, use of felling aids, de-limbing, cross-cutting.
Assessment is carried out on a separate day by arrangement.

Packed lunch and drink, especially if we are working away from college all day.
own Chainsaw and own chainsaw Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to current industry standards is required for this course.
Work equipment, PPE, etc. may be available from the college, this will need to be by prior arrangement with the College, candidates’ own is preferred, subject to checks by the instructor.
National Insurance (NI) number and photographic ID.
Waterproofs/change of clothes in case of inclement weather.
