Working with animals can be challenging but it is a truly rewarding career.
A level 2 course provides the ideal opportunity to develop your interest and skills in caring for a wide variety of animals and their environments; preparing you for employment or progression to further courses in animal management.
This one year course contains a mixture of theory lessons, demonstrations, projects and practical work involving our onsite college animal collection. The course also requires you to complete at least 80 hours of work experience with an external employer within the animal care industry.

There are no course fees for eligible students aged 16-18. Students aged 19-25 may also be eligible for government funding or a student loan depending on their circumstances. |

All learners wear a college uniform: a KMC branded, blue polo shirt, blue or black cargo trousers and steel toe capped boots. Trips are also planned into the year at an additional cost. |
Basic stationery - pens, pencils, glue stick, A4 lever arch file, scientific calculator, ruler and eraser.
Access to IT equipment both at college and at home are needed to engage fully with all lessons.
