There are no course fees for eligible students aged 16-18. Students aged 19-25 may also be eligible for government funding or a student loan depending on their circumstances. |

NPTC tests, also called Certificates of Competence of Licences to practice can be arranged if your course tutors think you are of a suitable standard following KMC training (dependent on attendance). An assessment fee will be payable to the examining body. The timing of these tests will be discussed at interview and again at the start of the course |
Basic stationery: calculator, pens, paper and lever arch files. Suitable outdoor clothing - the clothing must be suitable for environment, weather and time of year. Protective overalls. Steel toe capped work boots. Hi-vis yellow vest, general work gloves. Department uniform: polo shirt and sweatshirt. Students may wish to purchase their own specialist chainsaw clothing, this should not be done before consultation with the teaching team. Tetanus protection is recommended. All protective equipment will be inspected by the Course Manager
